~Sweet Memories Vintage Necklace~

These days I seem to be in a designing frame of mind that gravitates towards "Vintage" and with designing for Connie Crystal's design team that has fit in very well. I look at those  pretty crystals in different shapes and colors and just feel as if I being called back in time when designing." Sweet Memories" is created with beautiful bronze,copper and gold ribbon instead of chain and also combines those colors in the wire and jump rings to bring it all together. This necklace falls at about the 20" length mark and combines a pewter focal (earring chandelier is what I used) with a crystal prism (wrapped with gold and topaz crystals) in the middle and on either side, crystal clear beads with silver accents,bicone crystals in dark topaz , copper wire and findings.

1) To begin this piece I started with a pre made ribbon necklace in bronze,copper and gold. And you can use any large focal with 3 drop rings.

2) Take 3 inches of copper wire-20 gauge to wrap the prism with 4- 3 mm crystal rondelles and 1- 4mm bicone through and around the top of the prism,leaving a loop at the top for the jump ring.

3) Next take 2- 2 " decorative head pins and string a clear crystal bead on each side layering a copper ring on top of the crystal and ending with a crystal bicone . Twist around the copper head pin at the top and form a loop at the top of each head pin.

4) To link the focal with the prism and sides, attach with jump rings at the top and you now have a beautiful vintage style necklace.
