"Cabin Fever Artsy Inspiration From WildHeart Art!"

"Cabin Fever  Artsy Inspiration From WildHeart Art!"

This time of year those of us who so love the beauty of colors in our life are feeling a bit blah... winter colors are never thrilling and if you are like me... "Color Withdrawal" is now happening!! So I wanted to give you some fun projects to look at that I have done in the past along with colors and textures to put a smile on your face! There are also some very fun  mixed media workshops that I am offering and retreat info at the end of the post so I hope you can join us!!

Bold and bright journal pages with messages of faith are always a welcome sight when we are down~

There are so many awesome art supplies that are available for today's artist and I must admit I am a bit of an art supply" junkie"!! I just love to try new things and keep things fresh and exciting!!

I love the Dylusion sprays by Ranger Inc., they are one of my favorite go to's for splashes of luscious color! I have ordered some Radiant Rain from Luminarte and I am anxious to see how they compare to the Dylusion Sprays!

I also love to include things like fabric,sequins.. anything for interesting textures and colors and to create something unique!

Here is another product I LOVE... Drawing Inks and I use both India Ink and Acrylic inks for "pops" of color, dripping and spraying!

Texture... Texture... Texture!! I just love texture creating wonderful interest in journal pages and mixed mixed! Using stencils and modeling paste is one of my favorite ways to create texture and depth in artwork!

I also LOVE Liquid Peals by Tim Holtz ( Ranger Inc) they have such a creamy look that when used, holds it shape well... creating drops of "pearls" or great for writing too!

Journals hold a multitude of precious emotions, feelings and thoughts... all being played out through artwork and words written on paper. Many find that journals create comfort.. a safe place and a place to call home. Winter is also a time to" go within" and therefore creating a great opportunity to start a journal or focus on an existing one.
