If I could have EVER planned a perfect retreat this would be it!! Between the gloomy weather that turned GORGEOUS the day of the retreat and through out, to the amazing woman we all got to know~ It was a magical journey and I am so very blessed to have had this opportunity to share art, love and laughter at such an amazing place with these beautiful woman!
And because I do have so much to share I will divide this blog post into 2 parts.
Upon arriving to the beach house my first thought was it is so beautiful and filled with such wonderful energy! Even this bathroom was beautiful.. just loved the stained glass and the walk in tiled shower.. Whoo Hoo! It also has an upper deck ( 3rd floor) that has a killer view!!
Top deck ( 3rd floor)
Small hearts and positive ,creative quotes on some of the walls, doors and mirrors for gentle reminders of the beauty within us all.
Each person had their names on their doors to welcome them to their rooms!
Angie came a bit early to help out and as you can see the day before the retreat, we had a whirlwind of things to organize and take care care of!Thank you sweet friend for all your help :)
And had some fun with "Selfies"
Walked on the beach to gather some shells for stamping texture
The surrounding beach and view right outside our doors were so beautiful!
This is the view from the back porch which has the beautiful rocking chairs perfect for sitting and watching the sunrise!
Here is Sandi,Melanie and Yoli the first day of the retreat soaking it all in
Here we are all gathering and waiting for the mini workshops to begin.
Melanie led the first workshop on creating meaningful journal tags.
Beautiful tags created by a student
When we had breaks we could walk the beach and just relax.. Here Melanie found this beautiful shell... it was a beautiful gift just waiting for her:)
Can you tell what Angie and I did while on our beach walk?? ;)
Some pretty tags that were made during Melanie's Tag workshop
The girls creating up a storm!
Dinner the first night for those of us staying at the beach house
What an amazing start to a new day at ArtBeach!
First in the Agenda was Yoga on the beach!
Mark Knowles was the Yoga instructor ( Jivamukti) and as you can see.. We all had a great time and it was so beautiful to experience Yoga on the beach with the sun rising!
Mark plays a traditional East Indian instrument and leads us in some chanting.
It couldn't have been more peaceful... although I did feel this for quite awhile.. whoever says that yoga isn't a REAL workout is lying..lol
One of the students projects in my Creating Texture workshop on the second day
"Will someone please tell Miss Sandi that she cant read her notes that way" :)
A beautiful Image in the sand
Karen also brought along her Guitar and we loved listening to her play
Angie,Sandi & I .... Selfies on the beach!
~There are truly no words for such a beautiful experience~
Stay Tuned.. Part 2 at the end of the week!
In love and Light
